With all eyes on Ireland, everyone is trying to figure out where best suits their needs in terms of a holiday this year - something that varies from person to person. Some prefer active adventures, some base their getaways completely on food, some want total R&R.
Count yourself in the latter group? There's little more relaxing than a spa day and after getting through the past few months, we reckon it's long overdue. It's been a stressful year for most everyone, navigating the waters of a global pandemic is no easy feat. That to put it lightly.
We've done the groundwork and rounded up some of the best spas around the country (all reopen - bar one), so alls there's left to do is pick one and start planning your trip away.
The Spa at Kilkea Castle - Kildare

A luxurious boutique spa, they also have a state of the art thermal suite that gives serious Blue Grotto vibes. The next best thing to a trip to Capri and the Amalfi Coast.
Monart Spa - Wexford

Labelled "one of the best spas in the world" by one of our own, Monart never fails to impress. From the moment you arrive and get a glimpse of the sprawling 100-acre grounds, you know you're in for something special.
Eden One - Dublin

Eden One is a new luxury health club and spa destination. Only open since January of this year, their facilities are second to none. If it’s a bit of R&R you’re after, look no further as this place is relaxation station with heated marble loungers, a dry salt inhalation room and tropical rain showers.
Fota Island Resort - Cork

Nestled deep within the gorgeous surrounds of the East Cork countryside, the spa at Fota Island is every bit as picturesque and serene as you could hope for. Cara Organic Beauty Spa Lough Eske Castle Hotel - Donegal

A five-star spa resort experience, Lough Eske Castle Hotel has wellness at the heart of what it does. Aqua Sana Spa - Center Parcs, Longford
Reopening September 6th
Not reopen just yet but definitely worth the wait. Home to four spa zones, the Aqua Sana Spa is Ireland's first outdoor spa. Boasting 21 different spa experiences as well as a range of face and beauty treatments as well as an outdoor pool and hot springs garden hot tub. Important to note though that the spa is only open for Center Parcs guests from September 6th, not external guests.
